It seems that something as ordinary as wastewater treatment can still cause quite a headache in some areas. Despite the fact that K\u0117dainiai District Municipality has created a plan for the installation of central water supply and wastewater networks until 2031, some villages and individual homes will remain outside the agglomeration. Since outdoor toilets can no longer be used, and there is certainly a desire for a convenient, comfortable, and civilized way to manage wastewater, there is an option to install wastewater treatment systems yourself. Moreover, after installation, it is possible to recover a substantial amount of money. The municipal budget has allocated \u20ac17,000 for this purpose.<\/h2>\n\n

You can recover almost one and a half thousand<\/h2>\n\n

To recover part of the money invested in wastewater treatment systems, it is necessary to submit an application to the municipality. Applications can be submitted until October 31. Partial compensation for the installed individual wastewater treatment system can be received by residents who have declared their place of residence in one or two-apartment residential buildings in the K\u0117dainiai District Municipality<\/p>\n\n

Residents living in gardens and having declared their place of residence there, provided their buildings are for residential purposes, can also confidently take advantage of this program and receive compensation. Building owners must complete the installation work in the current year and submit the necessary documents.<\/p>\n\n

A wastewater treatment system with a capacity of 1.2 m\u00b3\/day, suitable for a family of 4-7 people, was installed in 1 working day at a residential house in a garden association by UAB \u201cBuiteka LT\u201d. The advantage of such a system for the family is that it requires cleaning only once every 1.5 to 2 years.<\/figcaption>\n<\/figure>\n\n

Residents of a single-apartment residential building in K\u0117dainiai District can recover up to \u20ac700, while residents of a two-apartment residential building can apply for up to \u20ac500 for each apartment as financial support from the municipality for the installed wastewater treatment system.<\/p>\n\n

Additionally, when it is mandatory to obtain a construction permit according to the requirements of STR 1.05.01:2017, 100% of the project preparation costs for the systems will be reimbursed, but no more than \u20ac400,\u201d the information states.\u00a0K\u0117daini\u0173 rajono savivaldyb\u0117s<\/a>\u00a0administracija.<\/p>\n\n

So, if a two-apartment residential building installs a wastewater treatment system, it could recover \u20ac1,000 and an additional \u20ac400 for project preparation costs\u2014totaling \u20ac1,400. A resident of an individual private house could recover up to \u20ac1,100 in expenses. To clarify further\u2014receiving a \u20ac700 compensation means that nearly half of the cost of the wastewater treatment system will be covered by municipal funds. The partial funding will be transferred to the bank account specified by the applicant.<\/p>\n\n

When choosing a treatment system, it is recommended to pay attention to the system\u2019s capacity\u2014instant and daily, i.e., how much wastewater the treatment system can process in an hour and in one day. This will affect the future maintenance and operating costs of the system.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n

More and more residents of K\u0117dainiai receive compensation each year.<\/h2>\n\n

In the last two years, the residents of Gud\u017ei\u016bnai Municipality have made the most use of this compensation\u2014here, eight homeowners installed wastewater systems and recovered part of their invested funds. The residents of Krak\u0117s were also active.<\/p>\n\n

The K\u0117dainiai District Municipality expressed satisfaction that this year\u2019s application season shows a very high level of interest among residents in living in a civilized manner and properly managing wastewater. \u201cWe are pleased with the increasing number of applications and invite residents of K\u0117dainiai District Municipality to manage their household wastewater appropriately, reduce environmental pollution, especially of water and soil, and take advantage of the compensation provided by K\u0117dainiai District Municipality,\u201d say municipal representatives.<\/p>\n\n

The municipality emphasized that if there are more applications this time than the funds allocated for them, residents should not be discouraged\u2014they will be placed on a waiting list and will receive their compensation next year.<\/p>\n\n

Without documents, there will be no compensation.<\/h2>\n\n

An important point is that to receive compensation, it is necessary to submit proper documents along with the application. The K\u0117dainiai District Municipality Administration informs that in 2021, it received 12 applications for partial funding for the purchase of individual wastewater treatment systems, while in 2022, the number of applications increased to 18. However, three individuals from those applicants did not receive compensation\u2014one had declared their residence elsewhere, and two did not provide the construction permit.<\/p>\n\n

UAB Buiteka\u2019s partner, MB \u201cDigetra,\u201d which carries out outdoor engineering network construction work, emphasizes the importance of choosing a reliable company that will help you install wastewater networks and assist in preparing the documents necessary to obtain compensation.<\/p>\n\n

In Lithuania, there is a wide range of wastewater treatment systems available, making it difficult for people to choose the right products that meet their expectations. It is much easier to make decisions when you receive recommendations and assistance from a specialist.<\/p>\n\n

As of February 1, 2023, a construction permit is no longer required for the installation of an individual wastewater treatment system if the location where the system is installed is not included in the designated exceptional areas.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n

The costs of wastewater removal services from wastewater tanks are also increasing, so a more economical solution for families is an individual wastewater treatment system. However, not all manufacturers have the same operating and maintenance costs for their wastewater treatment systems. Therefore, our specialist not only calculates the estimate but also outlines the differences in maintenance for individual systems. We recommend choosing a wastewater treatment system not based on the number of residents, but on the system\u2019s capacity\u2014both instantaneous and daily, i.e., how much wastewater the treatment system can process per hour and per day. This will affect the future maintenance and operating costs of the system.
